2018 Tesla Model 3 is a mid-sized luxury four-door sedan manufactured and marketed by Tesla, Inc. According to Tesla officials, the Model 3 standard offers an EPA rating of 220 miles (350 km) long-range model offering 334 miles (540 km). Model 3 was named in the Tesla BlueStar key in the original business plan in 2007. However, the intended name was the E model which was dropped because of the Ford trademark; Musk wanted the three current models to spell out SEX, but was set with “S3X”. At the beginning of 2017, after the opposition of the Adidas brand, the style of the horizontal bar in triplicate was abandoned and replaced by a number “3”.

The company’s plans for model 3 are part of Tesla’s three-step strategy to launch a high-priced vehicle and gradually move towards low-cost vehicles, while the battery and electric transmission have been improved and paid for Roadster, Tesla ModelS and Tesla Model X. Potential buyers have good reason to be excited. The Tesla Model 3 offers the long range (220 to 310 miles) and sparkling performance of the S model, but at a fraction of the price. The Entry Level 3 model starts at $35,000, resulting in a net result of $ 27,500 after the federal tax credit. But Tesla is likely to reach the production limits specified by the tax credit when producing Model 3, cutting credit to buyers.

The 2018 Tesla 3 model takes the iconic form of the S model and reduces it to the size of a BMW 3 Series. The minimalist interior, marked by a large screen in the center of the dashboard, looks nothing like the road. The 238-mile Chevrolet Bolt EV is the only serious competitor of the 3 Tesla model, but given the way Tesla captivated the world’s imagination, Model 3 should have no problem succeeding.

The interior of the Tesla Model 3 is minimalist, with a single landscape-style screen (which looks a lot like a desktop monitor), showing the speedometer as well as navigation, weather and stereo functions. This is an unusual configuration at first glance, but in practice, it’s not much different than using the Toyota Prius dashboard mounting center. The trunk space is limited, with 15 cubic feet distributed between the front and rear loading compartments.

Although Tesla did not officially disclose the Model 3 powertrain specification, EPA submissions indicate that the rear-wheel-drive electric motor produces 258 horsepower. Tesla claims a zero to 60 miles per hour time of 5.6 seconds with the standard battery pack, providing 220 miles of range, within walking distance of the EPA’s 238-mile Chevrolet Bolt EV range. An optional battery ($9,000) extends the range of model 3 to 310 miles and reduces the travel from zero to 60 to 5.1 seconds. A full-wheel drive version will be available in 2018, followed by a high-performance version.

2018 Tesla Model 3 Price

The Tesla 3 model is sold in a single level of equipment with dual zone air conditioning, navigation, fabric interior and built-in Wi-Fi. While the pre-incentive price of $ 35,000 for model 3 is attractive, it is likely that most model 3 buyers will end up paying much more for the most advantageous equipment costs. An interior upgrade package – with heated seats and adjustable power, enhanced audio system, panoramic sunroof and other features – is available for $3,000.

Although the system is still under development, Tesla plans to offer a fully autonomous driving option for $3,000 more. Improved wheels and tires are available for $1,500 and if you want your 2018 Tesla Model 3 in a color other than black you will have to pay another thousand dollars.
