2019 Porsche Cayenne is a mid-size SUV with five passengers available in four levels: base, S, E-Hybrid and Turbo. These finishes differ mainly according to the engine under the bonnet, although it usually also has a few extra features with each rise. All come with four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission gearbox. In addition to the standard Cayenne, the turbo includes upgraded front sports seats, a panoramic sunroof, customizable LED headlights, PASM air suspension, upgraded brakes, heated front and rear seats, and a 14-speaker Bose sound system. Many features that are standard on the top trim level can be ordered as standalone options. Like other Porsches, the Cayenne is one of the most customizable vehicles you can buy.

Then you have even more choices from a list of thousands of options. It starts with two main packages – Premium and Premium Package Plus – and then goes to a large list of standalone choices. All serve to enhance the Cayenne’s performance, technology and sound, comfort, safety, and exterior and interior style. All this, of course, for a price.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Interior

Inside, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne, center console buttons and functions have haptic feedback. The cranked dial, switch, and roll-type buttons are nice, but some are uncomfortable and tightly placed in front of the gear selector. And these are excess controls; most drivers will provide the steering wheel controls. Getting in or out is easy at the standard height of the vehicle and even easier if you drop the pickup through the adjustable suspension. The relatively low seat reinforcements make it easy to slip in and out of the seats.

The doors are narrow enough to provide no impediment, but the rear seats stand slightly higher on a raised platform. There is a wide range of seat adjustments, whether you want to sit in a low sports car or sit in a regular SUV style. The power-adjustable steering column also means that everyone can find a comfortable, confident driving position.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Engine

The base Cayenne is nothing to sneeze at, and plenty of performance comes from its turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine (335 hp, 332 pounds). Nineteen-inch wheels are standard, as are LED headlights, partial leather seats, and a 12.4-inch touchscreen. The Cayenne S has a 2-liter V6 twin-turbo engine (434 hp, 406 hp), various 19-inch wheels, an adjustable suspension – called Porsche Active Suspension Management, or PASM – tinted taillights and a panoramic roof.

The E-Hybrid is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, supported by an electric motor (455 hp, 516 pounds combined). The E-Hybrid, which is a plug-in hybrid, can drive about 27 miles with all the electric power before the gas engine turns on. It adds PASM and the Sport Chrono package as standard equipment. The Turbo replaces the V6 engine with a twin-turbo V8 engine (541 hp, 561 lb-ft).

2019 Porsche Cayenne Safety

Standard driver assistance features include a rear camera and front and rear parking sensors. Available features include a headscreen, customizable cruise control, traffic sign recognition, lane assistance, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, night vision assist and an outside camera. The vehicle is equipped with a way to anticipate and / or detect unwanted vehicle intrusion. The vehicle is equipped with a start-up switch which will prevent the engine from starting if the correct original 2019 Porsche Cayenne manufacturer key is not used.
