2018 Mazda 6
The 2018 Mazda 6 or 2028 Mazda 6 is a mid-size family car produced by the Japanese automaker Mazda since 2002. Mazda6 replaced the long-standing Mazda Capella in 2002. The Mazda6 has sold more than a million units faster than all the previous Mazdas. The Mazda6 was marketed as the first example of the company’s stylish, insightful and enthusiastic design philosophy, followed by the Mazda2 in December 2002, the RX-8 in August 2003, the Mazda3 in January 2004, the Mazda5 in the summer of 2005, the MX-5 in October 2005, and the Mazda CX-7 in November 2006. Mazda6 essentials is 2003, the 6th generation of the Mazda 626 as the Mazda6 continues in the G platform, the platform GF 626 / Capella to the GG Mazda6 platform.
In China, more than 680,000 Mazda vehicles, including the Mazda6 manufactured between September 2008 and January 2016, were removed due to defective Takata airbags. An earlier recall included 280,000 Mazda6 models manufactured between 2003 and 2008 for a similar problem. The recall was issued the same day that the Chinese Peak Quality Monitoring Body asked General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen to remove defective airbag vehicles in China.
The new 2018 Mazda6 is based on the Mazda GH chassis platform, a revised version of the GG chassis that Ford still uses as a CD3 platform. Mazda continues to supply three body styles, including the four-door sedan, five-door sedan, and wagon. Several journalists have already praised their electrically assisted steering for a significant improvement over the previous generation, providing more feedback to the driver. The hatchback model even has a space in the trunk that surpasses its larger competitors Ford Mondeo and Opel / Vauxhall Insignia in 200 liters with the rear seats folded down.
2018 Mazda 6 Facelift
The second Mazda6 face wash was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2017, with strong criticism of both indoor and outdoor cosmetics. On the outside, the new 6 adopts a larger grille of the new CX-5, with standard LED lamps and new taillights. A new board is also presented with Nappa leather and the Japanese finish Sen Wood, to strengthen the status of Mazda to become a high-end brand.
2018 Mazda 6 Engine
North American SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter gasoline engine models were released in January 2013 as 2014 model year vehicle, followed by SKYACTIV-D engine models in the second half of 2013. However, the introduction of the Mazda6 diesel variant on the US market was delayed from the second half of 2013 until spring 2014 due to emissions. In early 2014, it was reported that the introduction of the diesel engine was delayed again, effectively canceling the program at least for this model generation.
The engine is now available on Asian and European models of the third generation Mazda6. In particular, North American models are no longer offered with a V6 engine which puts the model at a disadvantage. The 2.5 L produces 184 horsepower and has an EPA rating of 26 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway (with the 6-speed automatic).
