The 2019 Lexus IS 300 is part of the IS sedan range that includes the stronger IS 350. For 2019, the 2019 Lexus IS is largely unchanged, but there are some updates to the note. The new three-beam LED headlights are the most striking new option. Software updates provide engine response in the four-cylinder engine, and there is also new voice command integration for Amazon Alexa devices. Unfortunately, Android Auto and Apple Car-play are not yet available.
The standard features include 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, solar power, key-less input and ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, simulated leather upholstery (NuLuxe), 60/40 split rear seat-belts automatic dimming back mirror , Bluetooth, Lexus Enform Remote vehicle controls, two USB ports, a 7-inch screen, and an eight-speaker audio system with extra audio input, satellite radio and HD radio.
2019 Lexus IS Features
The standard driver assistance technology features include a rearview camera, automatic high beams, lane departure warning and deviation, adaptive cruise control, and a pedestrian detection and automatic brake forward collision warning system. The IS 300 offers several option packages. The Comfort package adds automatic wipers, automatic door mirror dimming, a power steering wheel, driver seat memory settings, and a blind spot and repeats cross-traffic warning systems. A premium package includes heated and ventilated front seats.
The Navigation package replaces the standard infotainment control knob with the Lexus Remote Touch joystick-type controller, a 10.3-inch screen and a navigation system. A 15-speaker Mark Levinson sound system can be added to this package. Stand-alone options include refurbished, triple-sided LED headlights, a power behind sunscreen, front and rear parking sensors, an automatic parking system and a heated steering wheel.
2019 Lexus IS Interior
The inside comes out in both design and quality, standard features are generous with any measure, and convenience and safety technology are on top of that. This is a good choice in this segment. The IS struggles to find a balance between innovation and complication. The low ride height and roof line require larger drivers to bend and duck to clean the gates. The cabin is mediocre in its functional efficiency. The armrests are placed at a comfortable height for support during the crossing. The controls are all within reach, and there is a padded surface to attach your arm while using the Remote Touch interface of the infotainment system. The climate control puzzles look cool and work well.
The IS 300’s low altitude requires passengers to dive into the cabin. Even with the easy access wheel, it is easy to graze a knee against the column that climbs into the seat. The back door openings are on the smaller side and can be difficult to accommodate for older passengers.
2019 Lexus IS Engine
The IS 300 is available with the rear wheel drive (RWD) or the All-Wheel Drive (AWD), which is with different engines. There is also an F Sport version that adds external elements and hardware that improve the performance of the IS 300. The IS 300 RWD features a four-cylinder turbodiesel engine (241 hp, 258-pound torque) and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The IS 300 AWD replaces a 3.5-liter V6 engine (260 horsepower, 236 pounds of torque) and a six-speed automatic gearbox. Heated front seats also come standard.

The IS 300 has an impressive list of standard safety features, such as the automatic emergency brake and the departure warning. Monitor car brands, warn you when driving, and even help drive the vehicle back into the lane. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control helps drivers maintain a predetermined distance by adjusting the vehicle’s speed in relation to the vehicle. Intelligent high-beam high beam low beam switches automatically utilize camera cues that help track when other vehicles are present.
