The 2021 Aston Martin DBX is a mid-size, four-wheel-drive luxury crossover manufactured by British luxury carmaker Aston Martin. The 2021 Aston Martin DBX is the legendary British sports car manufacturer’s first outing in the SUV field, and its production was officially launched on 9 July 2020. It is best known for providing James Bond with its wheels, the buyer wants to take advantage of the hugely popular crossover market that has already seduced iconic competitors like Lamborghini with its wild Urus SUV.

While the Aston Martin DBX does not have the extrovert style of the Lambo, it does deliver its own beauty brand. It also drives with the same vitality and grace that Aston Martin is known for. On top of that, the 2021 DBX can be taken off-road and tow heavy loads, which is expected from ultra-expensive luxury crossovers.

2021 Aston Martin DBX Design

The 2021 DBX is the first car to be manufactured at Aston Martin’s new factory in St Athan, Wales. According to executive vice president and creative director Marek Reichman, the wheelbase of the DBX extends as far as possible so that the wheels can sit on the corners, which together with the low roofline gives the illusion of a smaller sports car and helps the DBX looks like Aston Martin as possible. As with all Aston Martin cars, the DBX has hinged doors, while the front grille is the largest ever fitted to an Aston Martin.

2021 Aston Martin DBX Interior

The DBX shares much of its liaison with the rest of the Aston Martin family. The cabin is covered with beautifully stitched leather, soft surfaces, and mixed suede upholstery. The DBX comes standard with a 12.3-inch full digital measuring range, adaptable ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, and heated front and rear seats. Its leading options include ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a range of even more luxurious cabin materials. The rear seat is spacious, with plenty of knees and headroom for adults. There is also good cargo space with 22 cubic feet of space folded behind the rear seat and 54 cubic feet with the rear seats folded up.

Although each model has a large 10.2-inch infotainment screen, it does not respond to touch inputs. Instead, the unit is based on an outdated Mercedes interface and is controlled by steering wheel controls as well as a rotary knob on the center console – an integrated touch panel is optional. The DBX does include popular features such as Apple CarPlay, built-in navigation, a 14-speaker audio system and multiple USB and 12-volt charging points.

2021 Aston Martin DBX Engine

The DBX is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine supplied by Mercedes-AMG. The engine delivers 542 horsepower and 516 lb of torque and, along with a nine-speed automatic transmission, is also supplied by Mercedes. While the DBX 2021 model is basically rear-wheel drive, a mid-range transmission sends torque to the front axle when trailing rear is detected, and there is also a limited sliding difference at the rear. Adjustable dampers and air springs are also standard. The version we drove on England’s best roads showed the engine’s lustful soundtrack and the inconspicuous operation of the transmission. The Aston Martin 2021 DBX is also not just another pretty face: it can tow £ 5940 and can venture off-road with the adjustable ride height and downhill control features. While we know the DBX will boast a powerful V-8 engine, it will also take a while before we can test its actual mpg on our 200-mile highway route.

2021 Aston Martin DBX Safety

The 2021 DBX yet not accidentally tested by the National Road Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Highway Safety Insurance Institute (IIHS). The Aston is available with some driver assistance technologies, but the grid is surprisingly absent from content, such as track assistance. Key safety features include front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and the automatic high beams
