2018 Acura TLX
2018 Acura TLX sedan is introduced as a replacement for two vehicles, the slightly smaller TSX and the slightly larger Acura TL. 2018 TLX is a solid artist with no significant disadvantages, although it is not as prestigious or so exciting to drive as its competitors. Acura has tried to address the latter complaint with the 2018 TLX A-Spec, which drives a stiffer suspension, sharpener and a unique tire and wheel package. This is definitely the excitement factor, but we think Acura’s loyal buyers base will be happy with the regular version, which feels a little more comfortable.
2018 Acura TLX Features
The Acura TLX also has other charms, including support seats, a comfortable ride and an active noise cancellation system. There is some engine noise, and it’s good for us, as both engines deliver a good soundtrack as they go to their routes. Interior composition quality is good, although the TLX’s dash design may not match everyone’s idea of luxury. Indoor space is generous in most measurements, although the seat main hall is slightly stiff. Overall, the Acura TLX is a sensible package, but one that can not appeal to all luxury buyers.
2018 Acura TLX Engines
The 2018 TLX is available in 2.4L and 3.5L models, indicating four or six-cylinder power respectively. All TLXs have a keyless supply and ignition, two-zone climate control and – above all – a full range of active safety features, including auto-braking collision detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and correction, and automatic high beam. The 3.5L versions get bigger wheels and more power adjustment options for the front passenger seat.

2018 Acura ILX Hybrid
While most luxury cars have a dazzling array of stand-alone options and packages, the TLX keeps it simple. The 2.4L models feature a Technology package, with leather, automatic wipers, and premium stereo, including features. The 3.5L offers the Technology package along with an Advance package with more creatures and the A-Spec package, which makes the car a sportier proposal.

All 2.4L models are powered by a 2.4-liter engine of 206 hp, which drives the front wheels through an eight-speed dual-coupler automatic gearbox. The 3.5L models get a 290-hp 3.5-liter V6 with a negative speed automatic that can be ordered with or front or wheel drive. (All-wheel drive models do without the four-wheel steering system.) Edmunds hit an Acura TLX 2.4L to 60km / h in 7.4 seconds, leaving most other sedans in this segment. The V6 with all-wheel drive did better – we watched one example after 6.4 seconds and another at 6.1 seconds. The EPA fuel economy estimates range from 27 mpg for the 2.4L to 23 mpg for the V6-powered A-Spec, although we encounter problems with achieving these numbers in global management.
2018 Acura TLX Performance
On the way, the Acura TLX 2018 model is a sharp performer, and the all-wheel steering system on front-wheel drive definitely gives the excitement factor, although it can be difficult in long, long corners. Unfortunately, the tires with a low-grip season make the driving experience really over. The TLX A-Spec model is noticeably sharper and more responsive, although it is still beyond the pace of competitive sports sedans.
